Kresge Building

The Kresge Building was built in 1928 as a "five & dime" store and expanded in 1941. Its original Phillips Avenue fa├žade and 1st floor interior had been significantly modified in the 1980's and its second floor had been vacant for nearly 30 years. Today the Phillips Avenue and 10th Street facades have been restored, an elevator added and all of the interior spaces fully rehabilitated. The Kresge Building is an AIA South Dakota Honor Award Winner.
